No new phone today. :( So sad! But perhaps tomorrow. I just have to go to a different store about 10 miles from here & then I should be able to get ‘er done. Good Lord willing…new phone tomorrow! :D Then, we leave for the mountains of Western Maryland for a few days of R&R! Woo-hoo - lookin’ like a good week ahead! :)
Just finished clearing out my phone of all it’s saved messages. It took me all day. Not because there were so many (though there were quite few!), but because it was so hard!!
Some of my messages were really hurtful. Idk why I saved them. I guess the best way to answer that is, it’s like holding on to pieces of a puzzle you know you can’t solve. As awful & hateful as the words were, I couldn’t let them go. I still hope that someday it’ll all make sense.
Other messages were sweet, or funny. They still make me cry though. And my head is throbbing from it all. I wish I could take a pill that would make it stop hurting…and I don’t mean for my head.
I want to be left alone. I want to cry alone. I want to disappear alone. But my girls want to see that I’m ok, so they keep coming in to check on me. I have to be ok. No tears for me. I’ll just keep it all to myself. Again.
I did come across a message I saved form my friend, Deb. I wish she were home, but she’s on vacation with her family. Well, most of her family. She left her son Patrick & the son she shares with me, Spencer, behind. Spencer’s been here every day since they left & if my oldest daughter wasn’t sick today, he probably would have come over today too. Anyway, I’m rambling. (Like that matters :P)
I decided to post what Deb had sent me a couple weeks ago. I thought this would be a good time & place to put her words for me here (I have a feeling I will need them again, so why not have them here).
There is no pill to take away the pain in life, but God does give a good dose of friendship now & then to help ease it. I have my kids & Deb, so I’ll try my best to dwell on that instead of everything that hurts.

Make sure you pray, and pray believing God will answer. May today be all you need it to be. I pray that faith enters a new height for you! I pray that your territory is enlarged. I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God. I was registered independent until NM did away with that. I’ve been registered as republican since I was first required by spouse. But behind that curtain I can still vote how I feel, not what someone else tells me to. I don’t take sides.
I don’t either. It’s not about sides, it’s about serving. I serve God by voting the way I feel He wants me to. I also don’t get all worked up over politics. It doesn’t mean I don’t have strong feelings about the issues, but I know Who’s in control & I trust His sovereignty.
